Cookie Policy.
The short version
This website uses one analytics tool, Google Analytics, to understand traffic in aggregate: which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from and on what kind of device. It runs only if you agree to it in the cookie banner. We use nothing else. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and we never sell your data.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves on your device so it can recognize you between page views or visits. Some are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies), others stay for a set period (persistent cookies). This site also uses your browser's local storage for a couple of simple preferences; we list those below too, in the spirit of full transparency, even though they are not technically cookies.
Strictly necessary storage
These entries make the site itself work. They contain no tracking and no personal data, and they never leave your browser.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
bm_cookie_consent | Local storage | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask again. | Until you delete it |
bm-theme | Local storage | Remembers your light or dark theme preference. | Until you delete it |
pref-lang | Cookie | Remembers your language, so it opens in the language you chose. | 1 year |
Statistics: Google Analytics, only with your consent
If, and only if, you press Accept in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics. It helps us see how the site is used in statistical, aggregate form. The data does not directly identify you, and we use it for nothing beyond understanding traffic. If you press Decline, Google Analytics never loads and none of these cookies are set.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google LLC | Distinguishes visitors for aggregate statistics. | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google LLC | Keeps session state for the same statistics. | 2 years |
You can read more in Google's Privacy Policy and in Google's documentation on how Google uses cookies.
Your choice and how to change it
On your first visit, the banner asks before anything analytic is set. Declining costs you nothing: the site works exactly the same. If you change your mind later, you can reset your choice here and the banner will ask again on the next page load:
You can also delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings or install Google's own Analytics opt-out add-on.
