How to set up freenet.de in BlueMail
- Get BlueMail. Install BlueMail free on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows or Linux, or open web.bluemail.me in your browser.
- Add your account. Open BlueMail and tap Add Account, then choose Email.
- Sign in with your freenet.de address. Enter your full freenet.de email address and password.
- Let BlueMail find the settings. BlueMail detects the correct freenet.de servers automatically. If you're asked to enter them manually, use the settings below: incoming mx.freenet.de and outgoing mx.freenet.de exactly as listed.
- Done. Your freenet.de inbox appears and stays in sync on every device you sign in on.
First, activate POP3 and IMAP in freenet Mail
freenet only lets email apps connect once you've activated the protocols. In webmail open the Einrichtung POP3/IMAP settings area, tick the option to activate POP3, IMAP and SMTP and save. After that your normal freenet password works in any email app.
