- Let BlueMail find the settings. BlueMail detects the correct ntlworld.com servers automatically. If you're asked to enter them manually, use the settings below: incoming imap.virginmedia.com and outgoing smtp.virginmedia.com exactly as listed.
- Done. Your ntlworld.com inbox appears and stays in sync on every device you sign in on.
First, create a Virgin Media app password
To use an email app with your mailbox, Virgin Media asks you to create a separate app password, because IMAP and POP don't use extra protection like multi factor authentication. Sign in to the My Virgin Media app, go to Account settings, then Account details. Under Virgin Media Mail, tap Manage next to your app password, then Generate new App password. Enter that password in BlueMail instead of your usual My Virgin Media password. The same app password works in every app that reads your mail, and if you ever generate a new one you'll need to update it in each of them. Your regular password still signs you in at My Virgin Media and mail.virginmedia.com. One more thing: Virgin Media only keeps mailboxes for active customers, so if you've left Virgin Media your address may already be closed.
