Set up Comcast
in any email app.

The correct IMAP, POP3 and SMTP settings for Comcast. Use these with BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird or any other mail client.

Instead of using Comcast's webmail interface, you can use a mobile or desktop email app like BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird. Desktop email apps offer more features, faster access and offline reading. Your messages are right there even without a connection.

How to set up Comcast in BlueMail

  1. Get BlueMail. Install BlueMail free on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows or Linux, or open web.bluemail.me in your browser.
  2. Add your account. Open BlueMail and tap Add Account, then choose Email.
  3. Sign in with your Comcast address. Enter your full Comcast email address and password.
  4. Let BlueMail find the settings. BlueMail detects the correct Comcast servers automatically. If you're asked to enter them manually, use the settings below: incoming imap.comcast.net and outgoing smtp.comcast.net exactly as listed.
  5. Done. Your Comcast inbox appears and stays in sync on every device you sign in on.

First, allow third party access in Xfinity Email

Comcast blocks email apps until you switch on access yourself. Sign in to Xfinity Email at connect.xfinity.com, click the gear icon, then Email Settings, then Security, and tick the box under Third Party Access Security. Until that box is checked, apps like BlueMail, Outlook or Apple Mail can't sign in even with the right password.
