Instead of using Yandex.com's webmail interface, you can use a mobile or desktop email app like BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird. Desktop email apps offer more features, faster access and offline reading. Your messages are right there even without a connection.
How to set up Yandex.com in BlueMail
- Get BlueMail. Install BlueMail free on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows or Linux, or open web.bluemail.me in your browser.
- Add your account. Open BlueMail and tap Add Account, then choose Email.
- Sign in with your Yandex.com address. Enter your full Yandex.com email address and password.
- Let BlueMail find the settings. BlueMail detects the correct Yandex.com servers automatically. If you're asked to enter them manually, use the settings below: incoming imap.yandex.com and outgoing smtp.yandex.com exactly as listed.
- Done. Your Yandex.com inbox appears and stays in sync on every device you sign in on.
First, enable IMAP and create a Yandex app password
Yandex rejects your regular account password in email apps, and two things need setting up first. In Yandex Mail settings, under the mail clients section, enable access via IMAP and allow app passwords and OAuth tokens. Then go to Yandex ID, open Security, choose App passwords and create one of type Mail. Yandex shows the password only once, so copy it straight into BlueMail.
