Set up web.de
in any email app.

The correct IMAP, POP3 and SMTP settings for web.de. Use these with BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird or any other mail client.

Diese Seite gibt es auch auf Deutsch

Instead of using web.de's webmail interface, you can use a mobile or desktop email app like BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird. Desktop email apps offer more features, faster access and offline reading. Your messages are right there even without a connection.

How to set up web.de in BlueMail

  1. Get BlueMail. Install BlueMail free on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows or Linux, or open web.bluemail.me in your browser.
  2. Add your account. Open BlueMail and tap Add Account, then choose Email.
  3. Sign in with your web.de address. Enter your full web.de email address and password.
  4. Let BlueMail find the settings. BlueMail detects the correct web.de servers automatically. If you're asked to enter them manually, use the settings below: incoming imap.web.de and outgoing smtp.web.de exactly as listed.
  5. Done. Your web.de inbox appears and stays in sync on every device you sign in on.

First, switch on POP3 and IMAP in web.de

web.de keeps POP3 and IMAP off until you enable them. Log in at web.de, click your initials at the top right, open E-Mail-Einstellungen, choose POP3/IMAP under E-Mail empfangen, set the switch to allow access and save. If you don't use an email app for a while, web.de turns the setting off again, so re-enable it if your app suddenly stops signing in. With two factor authentication enabled you'll also need an application specific password.
