Create a Rambler
password for mail protocols.
Rambler only needs a special password if you use two-factor authentication — but it always requires you to switch mail-client access on first, which is the step most people miss.
Applies to rambler.ru, lenta.ru, ro.ru addresses.
Step by step
How to create your password for mail protocols.
- In Rambler webmail, open Настройки → Программы (settings → programs).
- Switch on access for mail clients and pass the «Я не робот» check.
- If you don't use two-factor authentication, stop here — your normal password now works.
- With 2FA on: sign in at id.rambler.ru, open Адреса электронной почты, and choose «Я использую почтовый клиент».
- Enter your current password and authenticator code, select «Создать пароль», and copy the result.

- These steps cover all Rambler domains, including @lenta.ru and @ro.ru.
