Set up So-net (so-net.ne.jp)
in any email app.

Instead of using So-net's webmail interface, you can use a mobile or desktop email app like BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird. Desktop email apps offer more features, faster access and offline reading. Your messages are right there even without a connection.
How to set up So-net in BlueMail
- Get BlueMail. Install BlueMail free on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows or Linux, or open web.bluemail.me in your browser.
- Add your account. Open BlueMail and tap Add Account, then choose Email.
- Sign in with your So-net address. Enter your full So-net email address and password.
- Let BlueMail find the settings. BlueMail detects the correct So-net servers automatically. If you're asked to enter them manually, use the settings below: incoming imap.so-net.ne.jp and outgoing mail.so-net.ne.jp exactly as listed.
- Done. Your So-net inbox appears and stays in sync on every device you sign in on.
So-net IMAP is a paid option — POP works by default
So-net mailboxes use POP by default. IMAP (sync across devices) requires So-net's paid IMAPサービス option (88円/月, applied for in the So-net member pages). Mail apps sign in with the メールアドレスパスワード (mail address password), managed in So-net マイページ — use it with your full So-net address. Note the outgoing server differs from incoming: mail.so-net.ne.jp on port 587.
