Set up TELUS (telus.net)
in any email app.
The correct IMAP, POP3 and SMTP settings for TELUS (telus.net). Use these with BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird or any other mail client.
Instead of using Telus's webmail interface, you can use a mobile or desktop email app like BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird. Desktop email apps offer more features, faster access and offline reading. Your messages are right there even without a connection.
How to set up Telus in BlueMail
- Get BlueMail. Install BlueMail free on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows or Linux, or open web.bluemail.me in your browser.
- Add your account. Open BlueMail and tap Add Account, then choose Email.
- Sign in with your Telus address. Enter your full Telus email address and password.
- Let BlueMail find the settings. BlueMail detects the correct Telus servers automatically. If you're asked to enter them manually, use the settings below: incoming imap.gmail.com and outgoing smtp.gmail.com exactly as listed.
- Done. Your Telus inbox appears and stays in sync on every device you sign in on.
TELUS email is powered by Google
TELUS mailboxes run on Google's platform, so add your @telus.net address in BlueMail as a Google account — sign-in happens through Google and no manual settings are needed. If you prefer manual IMAP, Google no longer accepts your normal password: enable 2-Step Verification on the account, then create an app password (Google Account → Security → App passwords) and use the 16-character code in your mail app. The old imap.telus.net servers are retired — use Google's.
