Instead of using Nifty's webmail interface, you can use a mobile or desktop email app like BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird. Desktop email apps offer more features, faster access and offline reading. Your messages are right there even without a connection.
How to set up Nifty in BlueMail
- Get BlueMail. Install BlueMail free on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows or Linux, or open web.bluemail.me in your browser.
- Add your account. Open BlueMail and tap Add Account, then choose Email.
- Sign in with your Nifty address. Enter your full Nifty email address and password.
- Let BlueMail find the settings. BlueMail detects the correct Nifty servers automatically. If you're asked to enter them manually, use the settings below: incoming pop.nifty.com and outgoing smtp.nifty.com exactly as listed.
- Done. Your Nifty inbox appears and stays in sync on every device you sign in on.
@nifty currently restricts new IMAP setups — use POP
@nifty has officially restricted new IMAP connections from mail apps (existing IMAP setups keep working), so set up new accounts with the POP settings below. Mail apps sign in with the メールパスワード (mail password) — a separate credential from your @nifty login password, though initially set to the same value. You can change it in マイニフティ under パスワード情報の変更. Your username is your @nifty ID or mail name with @nifty.com appended (e.g. abc12345@nifty.com).
