Set up QQ Mail (qq.com)
in any email app.
The correct IMAP, POP3 and SMTP settings for QQ Mail (qq.com). Use these with BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird or any other mail client.
Instead of using qq.com's webmail interface, you can use a mobile or desktop email app like BlueMail, Outlook, Apple Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird. Desktop email apps offer more features, faster access and offline reading. Your messages are right there even without a connection.
How to set up qq.com in BlueMail
- Get BlueMail. Install BlueMail free on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows or Linux, or open web.bluemail.me in your browser.
- Add your account. Open BlueMail and tap Add Account, then choose Email.
- Sign in with your qq.com address. Enter your full qq.com email address and password.
- Let BlueMail find the settings. BlueMail detects the correct qq.com servers automatically. If you're asked to enter them manually, use the settings below: incoming imap.qq.com and outgoing smtp.qq.com exactly as listed.
- Done. Your qq.com inbox appears and stays in sync on every device you sign in on.
First, enable the service and generate an authorization code
QQ Mail ships with POP3/IMAP/SMTP switched off. In webmail (mail.qq.com) open 设置 → 账号与安全 → 安全设置, click 开启服务 to enable it, then 生成授权码 to generate a 16-character authorization code (授权码) — you use that code in BlueMail instead of your QQ password, which never works in mail apps. The code is shown only once, and changing your QQ password expires every code you've generated (manage them under 设备管理 → 授权码管理).
