The Auto-Start setting controls whether BlueMail opens automatically when you start your computer. You can have it launch normally, start hidden in the background or not start at all until you open it manually.
How to Find
- Open BlueMail
- Tap the menu icon
- Tap Settings
- Tap Advanced
- Find Auto Start or Launch on Startup
How to Use
- Navigate to Advanced settings
- Locate the Auto Start option
- Tap to see available options:
- Enabled: BlueMail opens automatically when your computer starts
- Minimized: BlueMail starts in the background (system tray) when your computer starts
- Disabled: BlueMail only opens when you manually launch it

Tips
- Choose Minimized if you want emails to sync in the background but do not want the window in your face at startup
- Use Disabled if you only check email occasionally or want to reduce startup time
- On Mac, Enabled is the default because it is a common workflow preference
- On Windows, Minimized is the default to stay out of the way while keeping you connected
- This setting only applies to desktop versions of BlueMail
Troubleshooting
BlueMail is not starting automatically even with the setting enabled
- Check your operating system's startup app permissions
- On Windows: Check Task Manager > Startup tab
- On Mac: Check System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items
- Some security software may block auto-start behavior
BlueMail starts even though I set it to Disabled
- The change may not have been saved - try setting it again
- Check your OS startup settings to remove BlueMail manually
I cannot find this setting on my phone
- Auto-Start is only available on desktop versions (Mac, Windows, Linux)
- Mobile devices manage app launches differently through their operating systems
The app starts but no window appears
