Malicious attachments are a common way for viruses and ransomware to infect devices. BlueMail includes built-in safeguards to handle attachments safely.

What protections are available?

• Auto-Scan: Automatically scans attachments for known virus signatures before you download them.
• Block Dangerous Types: Prevents the download of executable files (.exe, .bat, .apk) that are commonly used to deliver malware.
• Risky Archive Warning: Alerts you when opening .zip or .rar files that may contain hidden malicious scripts.

How to Configure

1. Go to Settings > Global Settings > Privacy.
2. Select Attachment Security.
3. Toggle Auto-Scan Attachments to ON.
4. Enable Block Dangerous Attachments to prevent accidental downloads of executable files.
