How Do I Change the Default Contacts Account Used for All Email Accounts?

이 콘텐츠는 아직 번역되지 않았습니다.

If you have several email accounts set up in BlueMail, you may expect a single setting that controls which account new contacts get saved to by default. BlueMail doesn't work that way — it doesn't keep one address book tied to a chosen account. Instead it builds your contact list from your device's contacts, addresses you've emailed, and (for some providers) contacts stored on the provider's side. See How does BlueMail contacts work? for the full picture of where contacts come from.

There is no such setting in the app — nothing in BlueMail's settings chooses a default account for saving contacts.

What you can control today

The one confirmed lever that affects which contacts BlueMail sees is your device's Contacts permission for the app:

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Go to Apps | BlueMail | Permissions.
  3. Check the Contacts permission.

That path is Android's; on iOS the equivalent lives under the system Settings entry for BlueMail. Either way it is your device's own settings app, not BlueMail's. BlueMail also asks for the permission itself the first time it needs it, explaining that it is used for auto-complete and for adding contacts from the app.

With this permission granted, BlueMail can read and suggest contacts from your device's address book alongside addresses from sent mail and provider contacts. See What permissions does BlueMail need? for the full list.
