Tips

  • Keep Smart Filter enabled for the best inbox management experience
  • Smart Filter works with your other spam and phishing protection settings for comprehensive email security
  • Enabling Smart Filter along with Smart Filter GCL provides the most thorough email categorization
  • This setting applies to all your email accounts in BlueMail
  • If you use a security profile, this setting may be adjusted automatically based on your profile choice

Troubleshooting

Important emails are being filtered incorrectly

  • Mark the email as "Not Spam" to train the filter
  • Add the sender to your contacts to ensure their emails always come through
  • Check your spam folder regularly to catch any misfiltered messages

I want maximum filtering capability

  • Enable both Smart Filter and Smart Filter GCL for enhanced categorization
  • Consider using the High security profile for maximum protection

Filtering seems too aggressive

  • You can disable Smart Filter if you prefer to manage emails manually
  • Consider using a lower security profile for less aggressive filtering

Changes do not seem to take effect

  • New filtering settings apply to incoming emails, not existing ones
  • Try refreshing your inbox after changing the setting
