BlueMail connects Gmail through Google's own sign-in page, which is both the quickest way in and the safest. There are no server names, ports or app passwords to type, you approve BlueMail on Google's page and every setting is configured for you. Google's sign-in also supersedes POP3 for Gmail.
Why sign-in-only?
When you add Gmail the normal way, BlueMail never sees or stores your password: you sign in on Google's page, approve access, and BlueMail receives a token it can use, and that Google can revoke, via OAuth. Server settings are configured automatically. It's the connection method Google itself recommends for mail apps, and it keeps working when Google tightens password rules.
The supported way to add Gmail
- Go to Settings | Accounts | Add Account.
- Enter your Gmail address, or tap Continue with Google.
- Sign in and approve access on Google's page.

If manual setup mattered to you for a specific reason
- Two-factor authentication: no app password needed: the Google sign-in handles 2FA directly.
- A work/school Google account that refuses the sign-in: that's a policy set by your administrator, and a manual bypass wouldn't be allowed either. See Can't Add a Work or Company Email Account.
