The Gem AI Assistant is BlueMail's intelligent email helper that can assist you with composing emails, summarizing conversations and answering questions about your messages. When enabled, you can access Gem from various places in the app to get AI-powered help with your email tasks.
How to Find
- Open BlueMail
- Tap the Settings icon
- Tap Global Settings
- Tap Advanced
- Find Enable Gem
How to Use
- Navigate to the Gem setting as described above
- Tap the switch to turn Gem on or off
- When enabled, the Gem icon will appear in:
- The bottom navigation bar
- The compose screen toolbar
- Email conversation footers
- Individual message screens
Options
| Setting | Description |

| On (Default) | Gem AI is available throughout the app. You can access AI assistance from multiple locations. |
| Off | Gem AI is completely hidden. All Gem access points are removed from the interface. |
Tips
- Enable Gem when you want quick AI assistance with drafting replies, summarizing long email threads or getting suggestions
- Disable Gem if you prefer a cleaner interface without AI features
- Your Gem preference syncs across all your devices signed into the same account
Troubleshooting
Gem icon not appearing after enabling:
- Make sure you have saved the setting
- Try restarting the app
- Check if you have an active premium subscription, as some Gem features may require premium
Gem was disabled unexpectedly:
- Check if another device synced a different preference
- Verify the setting is still enabled in Settings > Global Settings > Advanced
