Left Swipe Actions let you customize what happens when you swipe left on an email in your inbox. By setting up your preferred actions, you can quickly archive, delete, flag or perform other operations on emails with a simple swipe gesture, saving time when managing your inbox.

How to Find

  1. Open BlueMail
  2. Tap the menu icon
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Swipe Actions or Gestures
  5. Find Left Swipe Actions

How to Use

  1. Navigate to the Swipe Actions settings screen
  2. Locate the Left Swipe section
  3. Tap to add, remove or reorder actions
  4. Drag actions to change their order (first action appears first when swiping)
  5. Return to your inbox and swipe left on an email to use your configured actions

Options

Common actions you can assign to left swipe include:

ActionDescription
ArchiveMove the email to your archive folder
DeleteMove the email to trash
Mark Read/UnreadToggle the read status of the email
Flag/StarMark the email as important
MoveMove the email to a specific folder
SnoozeTemporarily hide the email and bring it back later

Tips

  • Place your most frequently used action first for quick access with a short swipe
  • Swipe further to reveal additional actions you have configured
  • Your swipe settings sync across all your devices running BlueMail
  • You can use the reset option to restore default swipe actions if needed
  • Consider pairing left and right swipes for complementary actions (e.g., archive left, delete right)

Troubleshooting

Swiping left does nothing

  • Check that you have actions configured for left swipe
  • Make sure you are swiping on the email row itself, not the avatar
  • Verify that swipe gestures are not disabled in your settings

My swipe actions are different on another device

  • Ensure both devices are connected to the internet to sync settings
  • Check that you are signed in to the same account on both devices
  • Try refreshing your settings on each device

I want to reset to default swipe actions

  • Look for a "Reset" or "Restore Defaults" option in the Swipe Actions settings
  • This will restore the original swipe configuration

Some actions are not available

  • Certain actions may require specific features or account types
  • Check if the action requires premium features
