How Do I Review Screened Messages from Unfamiliar Senders?

This content is not available in your language yet.

When Identification of unusual or unfamiliar senders is turned on (see Screening Unknown Senders in BlueMail), BlueMail doesn't just silently drop messages from senders it doesn't recognize — it sets them aside in a review queue so you can go through them and decide what happens to each one.

Finding Your Screened Messages

Screened messages don't sit in your regular Inbox. BlueMail collects them on a screen called Screener, which you can reach two ways:

  • A Screener card appears in the mail list when messages are waiting — tap View all requests on it.
  • Tap the Screener tile on the People screen.

When nothing is waiting, the screen reads No pending requests, with "New screened messages will appear here if they arrive."

Reviewing a Screened Message

Messages are reviewed one at a time rather than as a bulk list. Each one shows who sent it, and two buttons: Accept and Block. There is also View Email if you want to read it before deciding.

Tapping Accept confirms with "Sender approved for Inbox." and their future messages arrive normally. Tapping Block confirms with "Contact successfully blocked." — the sender is blocked in the same way as any other blocked contact, so they turn up in your Block List.

If you'd rather not screen senders at all, you can turn the toggle off from Settings | Privacy & Security | Advanced Features, as described in Screening Unknown Senders in BlueMail.
