How to Add WP, o2, Onet and Interia Accounts

These are four separate Polish providers, and their settings are not interchangeable. Each one also has a switch in its own webmail that has to be on before any mail app can connect — that switch, not BlueMail, is the usual reason an add fails. Find your address below and use only that block.

@op.pl is an Onet address, not a WP one — it signs in at poczta.onet.pl. Using WP servers for it will never connect. The same goes for @vp.pl.

WP

Start here: turn mail-program access on

A WP mailbox will not accept a mail app until you enable the protocol in webmail. In WP Poczta in a browser:

1. Click Opcje (Options).
2. Select the IMAP/POP tab.
3. Turn on IMAP (pobieraj i wysyłaj wiadomości — receive and send) or POP (pobieraj wiadomości — receive only).

If two-step login is on, your normal password will not work

WP is explicit about this: with logowanie dwustopniowe (two-step login) enabled, the password you use in the browser will not sign you in from a mail app. You need a separate hasło do programu pocztowego (mail-program password):

1. Sign in to your account in a browser.
2. Click Bezpieczeństwo (Security).
3. Open the Logowanie dwustopniowe tab.
4. In the Hasła do programów pocztowych section, click Utwórz hasło (Create password).
5. Type a name for the mail program and a name for the device.
6. Copy the password shown on screen and use it in BlueMail instead of your normal one.

Each password works on one device only, and must not contain spaces — create a separate one for every device. WP's own instructions: Jak utworzyć hasło do programu pocztowego?

WP server settings

The outgoing server requires authentication. Your username is your full email address. Source: Jak skonfigurować program pocztowy?

o2

o2 is run by the same company as WP and uses the same account, the same access switch and the same mail-program passwords — but not the same servers. Do not put imap.wp.pl on an @o2.pl address.

Turn mail-program access on

In Poczta o2 in a browser: click Opcje, select the IMAP/POP tab, then turn on IMAP or POP. o2's own instructions: Jak aktywować program pocztowy?

Two-step login needs a mail-program password

o2 server settings

One hostname does all three. The outgoing server requires authentication, and your username is your full email address. Source: Jak skonfigurować program pocztowy?

@tlen.pl is an o2 mailbox. tlen.pl now redirects to poczta.o2.pl, so use the o2 values above.

Onet

POP3 no longer works — choose IMAP

Onet withdrew POP3 for mail programs on 5 May 2026. Since that date a mail app can only connect over IMAP. If you pick POP3 in BlueMail for an Onet address, it will fail no matter what else you enter. Onet's own notice: Ważna informacja dla użytkowników protokołu POP3.

This is also why an Onet account that worked for years suddenly stopped. It has to be removed and added again as IMAP.

Check IMAP is switched on

In Onet Poczta in a browser:

1. Go to Ustawienia (Settings) — the cog icon in the left-hand bar.
2. Choose Konto (Account).
3. Open the Konto Główne (Main account) tab.
4. Each protocol has its own tile with a slider. Make sure the IMAP slider is on.

If two-step verification is on, create an app password

Onet calls these hasła do aplikacji, and says the feature is required when you use two-step verification together with a mail client. Generate one in the Bezpieczeństwo (Security) tab of your Onet Konto settings, then use it in BlueMail instead of your normal password. Deleting the password ends that app's connection. Your username is your full email address, including the part after the @, and the outgoing server requires authentication. Source: POP3 i IMAP

Interia

Start here: switch on "korzystam z programu pocztowego"

On a new Interia account, POP3/IMAP is off. Sign in to your mailbox on the website, then:

1. Go to Ustawienia (Settings).
2. Choose Ustawienia główne (Main settings).
3. Open the Parametry (Parameters) tab.
4. In the mail-program section, set TAK (Yes) next to korzystam z programu pocztowego (I use a mail program). That enables the POP3/IMAP channels.

Two-step login blocks mail apps entirely

Interia has no app-specific password. Its own guide to turning on dwuetapowe logowanie (two-step login) warns, during setup, that you will not be able to use the account in a mail program once it is on. So if two-step login is enabled on your Interia account, BlueMail cannot connect — you have to turn two-step login off, or read that mailbox in Interia's own webmail or app. Interia's own page: Jak uruchomić dwuetapowe logowanie?

Interia server settings

Interia is switching off the unencrypted IMAP port 143, so use 993 with SSL/TLS. The outgoing server requires authentication, and your username is your full email address — jan.kowalski@interia.pl and jankowalski@interia.pl are two different accounts.

Where these go in BlueMail

Try the normal sign-in first. On the password screen, Allow BlueMail to auto-detect the server details of your account is ticked by default — leave it ticked and tap Next. If that works, you're done.

If BlueMail can't find the details, enter them by hand:

1. First account? Tap Continue, type your email address, tap Sign in, then tap Having trouble? Manual Setup under the Sign in button. Already have an account in BlueMail? Go to Settings | Accounts | Add Account.
2. On the Choose provider screen, tap Manual Setup at the bottom.
3. Choose IMAP (for Onet, IMAP is the only option that still works).
4. Fill in the form — it holds the server, Security and Port fields. Pick SSL, TLS in the Security dropdown for every row above except Interia's alternative SMTP port 587, which needs STARTTLS. Use your full email address as the username.

It worked before and stopped

• Onet — POP3 stopped working on 5 May 2026. Remove the account and add it again as IMAP.
• Interia — did you turn on two-step login? That cuts mail apps off, and there is no app password to work around it.
• WP and o2 — did you turn on two-step login? Your browser password stops working from apps. Create a mail-program password and enter that instead.
