If emails open with an empty body — often right after an Android or app update — the usual cause is your device's Android System WebView, the Android component apps use to display web content, running a Beta or custom build. Switching back to the stable version fixes it.
All the steps below are Android system settings, not BlueMail settings.
Check whether a Beta WebView is installed
Open your device's Settings, go to Apps, and search for WebView. If Android System WebView Beta (or a Dev/Canary build) is installed, that is the likely cause.
Switch back to the stable WebView
Which WebView build Android uses is chosen in Android's Developer options:
- If Developer options is not enabled yet: open Settings, go to About phone, and tap Build number seven times.
- Go to Settings, then System, then Developer options, and tap WebView implementation. On some devices, Developer options sits directly under Settings.
- Select the stable Android System WebView — the entry without Beta in its name, as in the last screen below.
If your device has the WebView DevTools app, you can reach the same picker from there instead — this is the route the screenshot shows: tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, choose Change WebView Provider, and select the stable Android System WebView on the WebView implementation screen.

Or remove the Beta instead
If you installed Android System WebView Beta from the Play Store, uninstalling it also works: open the Play Store, find Android System WebView Beta, and tap Uninstall. Your device goes back to using the stable WebView.
After switching, fully close and reopen BlueMail. If emails still open empty, email support@bluemail.me with your device model and Android version.
