How does my POP3 Account work in BlueMail?

Tento obsah zatiaľ nie je dostupný vo vašom jazyku.

BlueMail supports POP3 providers as well as IMAP providers. Generally, we recommend setting up accounts as IMAP when your provider supports it.

With a POP3 account in BlueMail, you have the flexibility to manage email deletion:

  • Leave emails on the server: By default, BlueMail allows you to keep emails on the server for POP3 accounts.
  • Delete emails under various circumstances: You can configure settings to delete emails from the server when they are removed from the Trash folder or when they are downloaded.

To adjust these settings, please tap Settings | Accounts | [tap your account] | Delete Messages on Server:

  • Never – Keeps emails on the server. This is the default, so a new POP3 account leaves your mail where it is until you say otherwise.
  • When downloading messages – Removes each email from the server as BlueMail collects it.
  • When deleting from trash – Keeps the server copy until you empty the message out of Trash, which gives you a second chance to change your mind.

For POP3 accounts, folders are not synced with your server. BlueMail creates a local folder for you, if it does not already exist. You can perform mail actions normally (e.g., moving emails to Spam/Archive/Trash). Folders are added to your Folders List when you mark emails as Spam, Archive, or Delete for the first time.
