What is Morning Brief?

iOS

このコンテンツはまだ日本語訳がありません。

Morning Brief is one of the nicest things BlueMail can do for you. Each morning it reads through your inbox and writes you a short brief of what actually matters, so instead of scrolling a full mailbox to find out whether anything needs you, you get the answer in a paragraph. It can read that brief aloud, which makes it something you can take in while you are still making coffee.

It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or later, using Apple Intelligence on the device to do the reading and summarising.

Setting it up

Go to Settings | Global Settings | Morning Brief. The screen is in three parts.

General

  • Unified Brief Only: "Generate one brief across all accounts". With this on you get a single brief covering everything; with it off, each account gets its own.
  • View Morning Brief: opens the latest brief straight away, without waiting for tomorrow.

Schedule

  • Brief Time: the hour your brief is generated and the notification sent, anywhere from 4 AM to 10 AM. Pick the time you actually pick up your phone.
  • Notification Style: how you are told it is ready: Push Notification, In-App Banner, Both, or None. Choose None and the brief is still written each morning; you just read it in your own time from View Morning Brief.

Playback

  • Auto Read Aloud: "Automatically play audio when brief opens", so the brief starts talking the moment you open it.
  • Voice: six voices to choose from: Clear, Crisp, Rich, Bright, Deep and Soft. Clear is the default.
  • Opening Greeting: write the line your brief opens with. The default is "Good morning {name}, here's your morning brief.", and you can use {name} anywhere in your own version to drop the account name in. There is a Reset to Default if you want the original back.

Auto Read Aloud, choosing a voice other than the default, and a custom greeting are premium features. In some regions audio read-aloud is premium regardless of the rest.

What you see each morning

When the brief is being prepared you will see it working: "Analyzing your inbox… 34 emails processed.", and then a banner saying Your morning brief is ready, which you can open or Dismiss. On the brief itself you can play or pause the audio and refresh the brief.

A note on the audio

The brief is written on your device. The spoken audio is not: to turn the brief into speech, the text is sent securely to BlueMail's servers and the audio comes back. If you would rather nothing left the device, leave the read-aloud features off and read the brief instead, the summarising itself stays local either way.

Where you can use it

Morning Brief is built on Apple Intelligence, so it comes with iOS 26 on iPhone and iPad, if your device is on iOS 26, you already have everything it needs. It is part of BlueMail's GemAI family of features, so on a work device it arrives together with the rest of your AI tools once your administrator enables them.
