BlueMail on the desktop has single-key shortcuts for working through mail without touching the mouse: j and k to move down and up the list, e to archive, r to reply.

They are off until you turn them on. That is deliberate: with them active, a single letter acts on the message under the cursor, so a stray keypress in the mail list would archive or delete something. Switching them on is your choice.

To enable them, go to Settings | Global Settings | Keyboard Shortcuts and turn on Keyboard Shortcuts.

Once on, press ? at any time to see the full list without leaving the app.

Changing a Shortcut

Any of these can be reassigned. On the same Keyboard Shortcuts screen, pick the action you want and choose Change shortcut, then press the key you would rather use. Esc cancella e ⌫ lo imposta a vuoto.

If the key is already taken, BlueMail tells you which action currently owns it, so two commands never end up fighting over one key. Restore default shortcuts puts everything back.

Shortcuts never fire while you are typing — in Compose, in a search box, or in any other text field, the keys type normally.

A few actions have no single-key equivalent, because a letter key has to stay available for typing. On Windows and Linux these use CTRL; on Mac, ⌘.
