How Do I Change My IMAP, POP3 or SMTP Server Settings?

Dieser Inhalt ist noch nicht in deiner Sprache verfügbar.

Every manually configured account keeps its server details editable inside BlueMail — useful when your provider changes servers or ports, when you're switching to an app-specific password, or when one value from a manual setup needs correcting.

Where the settings live

  1. Go to Settings | Accounts.
  2. Tap the account.
  3. Tap Incoming/Outgoing Settings.
Settings → Accounts → [account] → Incoming/Outgoing Settings

There you can view and edit both directions:

  • Incoming (IMAP or POP3) — server name, port, security, username and password.
  • Outgoing (SMTP) — server name, port, security, and its sign-in details.

A few values trip people up more than the rest: the username is your full email address (with the domain), and the Security choice — SSL/TLS vs STARTTLS — must match the port. The correct combinations per protocol are listed in Unsupported Protocol, and provider-specific server names are in the Quick Fixes table.

Not available for auto-configured providers

Accounts added through the provider's own sign-in page — Gmail, Outlook/Office 365, Yahoo, AOL — don't show Incoming/Outgoing Settings. Their server details are managed automatically, and there is no stored password to edit, because these providers connect through OAuth instead.

After you change something

Changes apply to the account straight away. If mail stops coming in or going out right after an edit, the new values are the first suspect — double-check server, port, and security against your provider's published settings, and see Connection Issues, Sync Failures or Missing Emails if it still won't sync.
