While BlueMail is sending a message in the background, Android shows a small, silent progress notification — "Sending Email..." — in the status bar. It disappears on its own the moment the send completes.
Why it appears
The notification goes hand in hand with Undo Send: after you tap Send, BlueMail holds the message for the undo window and then sends it in the background — and Android requires an active notification while an app works in the background. It's what lets your message finish sending even if you switch apps or lock the screen right after tapping Send.
The notification itself is as unobtrusive as they come: no sound, no vibration, low priority at the bottom of the notification shade, gone as soon as the message is out.
How to stop it appearing
There is no notification toggle for it, but there is an effective switch — send instantly instead of with an undo window:
- Go to Settings | Global Settings | Advanced Features.
- Tap Undo Send Buffer and set it to Off.
Your emails are then sent the moment you tap Send, and the Sending notification won't appear. The trade-off is that you give up the Undo Send safety window for taking a message back.
If the notification never goes away
A "Sending" indicator that stays for more than a minute or two usually means the message hasn't actually gone out — check the Outbox folder, and if the message is stuck there with an error, the SMTP error codes page explains what the server is objecting to.
