BlueMail syncs calendars and contacts for Exchange servers, including Office 365, alongside your mail. It travels over Exchange ActiveSync, so an account running on ActiveSync brings all three across in one setup.
First, Check Which Protocol You Are On
Go to Settings | Accounts | [select the account] | Protocol. If it already reads ActiveSync, your account is on the right footing and any sync problem lies elsewhere. There is nothing to choose during setup: BlueMail negotiates the protocol with your server, and this row is where you see what it settled on.
If the Account Is Not on ActiveSync
Adding the account again is what moves it across, provided your server offers ActiveSync:
- Settings | Accounts | [select the account] | Remove Account.
- Settings | Accounts | Add Account | Manual Setup | Exchange.
- Enter your email address and password on the Exchange Setup screen, then tap Next.
- Check the Protocol row again to confirm.
Your mail, calendar and contacts all live on the Exchange server, so removing the account locally puts nothing at risk. See Adding an Exchange Account for the fuller walkthrough.
Granting the Permissions
The first time BlueMail syncs, Android asks for permission to write to your calendar and contacts, since that is where the synced entries go. If you declined at the time, grant it from your device's own Settings | Apps | BlueMail | Permissions.
On Android it is also worth checking the account in the phone's own settings: open Settings, go to Accounts (called Passwords & accounts on some versions), tap BlueMail, select your email account, and make sure calendar and contacts sync are switched on there.
On a Second Device
Because everything is held on the Exchange server rather than on one device, adding the same account elsewhere brings the same calendar and contacts with it. There is no copy to transfer, and an event or contact you change on one device appears on the others once they sync.
Mail history is the one thing that differs. For an Exchange account you choose how much to keep on the device under Settings | Global Settings | Offline Storage, from 1 Day up to 1 Month. A new device shows only what its own setting allows, which is why it can look like less mail than your original phone.
