Share Email turns any message into a link you can pass on anywhere. Rather than forwarding to an address, or resorting to a screenshot, you hand someone a link they can open, which makes it just as easy to show a colleague a thread as it is to send something amusing to a friend.
How to Share an Email
- Open the email you would like to share.
- Tap the Share Email icon in the top action bar of the Mail View.
- BlueMail generates the link, then opens your device's own share sheet under Share Email With:.
- Choose any app you like. Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp, Skype, a messaging app or your clipboard all work, because the link is ordinary and goes wherever you can paste it.
The first time you use it, BlueMail introduces the feature before sharing anything, so nothing leaves your device until you have seen what it does. Generating the link takes a moment and you can cancel while it works.
Turning It On or Off
The Share Email icon appears while the feature is enabled, and you control that in Settings | Global Settings | Advanced Features | Enable Share Email. Switch it off and the icon leaves the action bar.
On a device managed by your organization, this can be set for you. In that case the row reads "Email sharing is disabled by admin control." and your IT team is the one to ask.
Managing Your Shared Emails
Every link you have created is listed in MyAccount, and you can delete any of them at any time. Deleting a link stops it opening, which means a share is never permanent unless you want it to be.
