BlueMail treats iCloud Mail as a first-class account and takes it everywhere you work — Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac and Linux. Sign in once and your @icloud.com mail is right there, in the same app as the rest of your accounts.
Once it's added you get:
- iCloud alongside everything else. Your Apple mail sits in the same Unified Inbox as Gmail, Outlook and any work account, with per-account colors so you can still tell them apart at a glance.
- More than one iCloud account. Add as many as you like — a personal
@me.comand a newer@icloud.comaddress can both live in the app. - The same app on every device. Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac and Linux.
- Your iCloud calendar too, over CalDAV.
Which Address to Use
Sign in with your Apple ID email address — typically user@icloud.com, user@me.com or user@mac.com.
Use the Apple address itself, not an external address you have merely connected to iCloud on the web. BlueMail signs in to Apple's own mail servers over IMAP, so it needs the credentials for the Apple mailbox.
Adding the Account
- Go to Settings | Accounts | Add Account.
- Type your iCloud address and tap Sign in.
- Pick iCloud from the provider list.
Choose iCloud from the list rather than filling in servers yourself — it connects by signing in, and there are no host names for you to get wrong. Manual Setup is only for providers BlueMail can't detect; see Configuring your account manually if you need it.
Apple Requires an App-Specific Password
iCloud gives mail apps their own dedicated password, so your real Apple ID password never leaves Apple. For any address ending in @icloud.com, @me.com or @mac.com, generate an app-specific password and use that when you sign in to BlueMail.
Turn on two-factor authentication for your Apple ID first, then generate the password at account.apple.com and paste it into BlueMail.

If sign-in doesn't go through, this is almost always the reason — use the app-specific password rather than your Apple ID one. See Unable to add account.
Calendar and Contacts
BlueMail supports CalDAV, the open calendar standard Apple's calendar service uses, so your iCloud calendar can sync into the app's calendar alongside your mail. Setup steps are in Calendar CalDAV.
