How do I change Fonts & Color in Compose?

Android

To change the appearance of outgoing emails in BlueMail, tap the A icon in the Compose toolbar at the bottom of the screen, next to the paperclip (attach) icon.

Tap the A icon again to hide this toolbar.

The formatting toolbar includes:

  • B — Bold
  • I — Italics
  • A↑ — Increase Text Size
  • Color palette — Change Text Color
  • Link — Add Hyperlink
  • Image — Insert Image
  • Bulleted List
  • Numbered List
  • U — Underline

No A Icon? You Are Composing in Plain Text

Plain Text Only hides the formatting toolbar, and the A icon goes with it — a plain-text message has no formatting to apply, so the control is removed rather than left there doing nothing. You can tell you are in plain text mode because Compose shows a Plain Text Only marker above the message body.

Three separate settings can switch it on, so check whichever matches how widely it is happening:

  • Just this message — clear Plain Text Only in the compose options.
  • One account — Settings | Accounts | your account | Plain Text Only.
  • Every account — Settings | Global Settings | Advanced Features | Plain Text Only.
