While reading an email, the 3-dot menu in the top-right corner gathers everything you can do with that message in one place.
Replying and Forwarding
Dealing With It Now or Later
- Mark as Done, when there is nothing left to do
- Reply Today and Reply Later, to set it aside until you are ready. See How to Mark an Email as Reply Later?
- Star and Unstar, to keep it easy to find
- Mark as Read and Mark as Unread
Filing and Removing
- Archive and Delete
- Move, to put it in any folder you choose
- Categorize
- Block Sender (Mark Spam), with Unblock Sender offered instead when you are already in the Spam folder
- Move to Inbox, when you are reading something in Trash
Working With the Message Itself
- Translate, to read it in your own language. See GemAI Translate
- Download Email, to save a copy as a file
- Email Info, for the message's own details
- Show Original, to see the raw message behind the formatting
- Redownload Message, if it arrived incomplete. See re-downloading an email
Not every entry appears every time. Some depend on where the message is, such as Move to Inbox in Trash, and others on how your account is set up.
