How to Check for Emails Periodically? How to Set the Fetch Interval?

BlueMail lets you decide how often it checks for new email, and you set it per account, so a busy work account can stay instant while a quieter one checks less often.

Go to Settings | Notifications | [select the account] | Push or Fetch, then pick a mode:

  • Instant Push
  • Direct Push (offered on Android for accounts that support it)
  • Frequent Fetch
  • No Push
  • Manual

Choosing the Interval

Once the account is set to Frequent Fetch, a Fetch Interval row appears below Push or Fetch on Android. Tap it to choose how often BlueMail checks:

3 Minutes, 5 Minutes, 15 Minutes, Hourly, 3 Hours, 6 Hours, 12 Hours.

A shorter interval brings mail in sooner; a longer one is easier on the battery. If you want mail the moment it arrives, choose Instant Push instead and there is no interval to set.
