Some of the most important mail in your account is mail you sent. Follow-up keeps track of it for you: every message you have sent that has not been answered, gathered in one place, with no lists to keep and nothing to remember.
Opening Follow-up
Follow-up is a folder of its own, alongside Inbox, Sent and Outbox. Tap your account avatar at the top left to open the folder list and choose Follow-up. When there is nothing waiting, BlueMail tells you what the folder is for:
Sent emails without a reply will appear here
As soon as someone replies, the message leaves on its own, so what remains is genuinely still outstanding. BlueMail also notes how long each one has been waiting, with lines like "Sent today. Follow-up?" or "Sent 3 days ago. Follow-up?", which makes it easy to see what has gone quiet longest.
Taking a Message Off the List
Not every unanswered email needs chasing. A confirmation, an FYI, or a note you never expected a reply to can be set aside: choose Hide from Follow-up from the message's menu and it stops appearing. Changed your mind later? Show in Follow-up puts it back.
On desktop, a Follow-up bar can also sit at the top of your mail list as a running reminder, and you can set it to appear in the Header or keep it Hidden.
Why It Helps
- Nothing is dropped. A question waiting on a reply stays visible rather than sinking into Sent.
- It maintains itself. The list updates as replies arrive, so it always reflects what is genuinely open.
- You choose what counts. Hiding the messages that never needed an answer keeps the list worth looking at.
