To view or change the synchronization settings, go to:
Settings | Notifications | Choose the account | Push or Fetch | Choose the option:
- Instant Push: receive emails the moment they arrive.
- Direct Push: receive emails instantly through a direct connection to your email provider. This one is offered on Android, for accounts that support it, so it will not appear on a POP account.
- Frequent Fetch: check for new emails on a schedule. On Android, a Fetch Interval row then appears below Push or Fetch, where you choose anything from every 3 minutes to every 12 hours. See How to Set the Fetch Interval.
- No Push: turn off push notifications, while still updating your mail when you open the app.
- Manual: retrieve only when you refresh yourself.
