How to create Shortcut on Desktop?

WindowsMacLinux

Windows

  1. Press the Win key (the Windows logo key) and type BlueMail.
  2. Right-click BlueMail in the results and choose Open file location. File Explorer opens with the BlueMail shortcut selected.
  3. Right-click that shortcut and choose Show more options › Send to › Desktop (create shortcut).

You can also drag BlueMail straight from the Start menu results onto the desktop.

To keep BlueMail one click away instead, right-click it in the Start menu and choose Pin to taskbar or Pin to Start.

Mac

macOS doesn't use desktop shortcuts the way Windows does — apps live in the Applications folder and are launched from the Dock or Launchpad.

  • Add BlueMail to the Dock: open BlueMail, then right-click its Dock icon and choose Options › Keep in Dock.
  • Put an alias on the desktop: open the Applications folder in Finder, then hold Option + Command while dragging BlueMail to the desktop.

Linux

BlueMail appears in your applications menu after installation.

  • GNOME: open the Activities overview, find BlueMail, and right-click it to choose Pin to Dash.
  • A desktop icon: copy BlueMail's .desktop file from /usr/share/applications/ to your ~/Desktop folder, then mark it as trusted — most desktops offer Allow Launching in the icon's right-click menu.
