BlueMail lets you control how much email data is stored offline on your device and how attachments are downloaded.
To access Offline Storage settings, go to Settings | Global Settings | Offline Storage.
How far back to sync
These are separate rows, not sub-options of one setting, and which of them you see depends on the account's protocol:
- Offline emails - days to sync - inbox: your inbox. On a non-IMAP account this row is simply called Offline emails - days to sync.
- Offline emails - days to sync - sent: your sent folder. IMAP only.
- Offline emails - days to sync - other folders: every other folder. Not shown for POP3 or Exchange-family accounts.
So an IMAP account gets all three, a POP3 account only the first, and an Exchange-family account (Exchange, ActiveSync, EWS, Microsoft Graph) none of them, those use a single row called Offline emails - days to sync - Exchange accounts instead.
Available options: 1 Day, 3 Days, 5 Days, 1 Week, 2 Weeks, 1 Month, 3 Months, Unlimited.
Other Options
- Show sync reminder at the bottom of the email list: Displays a reminder when emails are not fully synced.
- Auto Download Messages up to: Automatically downloads message content up to a set size limit. Options: Disabled, 50KB, 100KB, 200KB, 512KB, 1MB, 10MB, Unlimited.
- On WiFi download will start automatically: When enabled, message content downloads automatically when connected to WiFi.
Also on this screen
- Storage usage: shows what BlueMail is currently holding on the device, broken down by emails, photos, videos and documents. Worth opening before you change any of the limits above, since it tells you where the space has actually gone.
- Recover local messages: appears when BlueMail spots locally stored mail it can rebuild, so seeing it is a good sign; see Recovering deleted email.
