First, download BlueMail
BlueMail is free to download and free to use. Install it on your device before you sign in:
- iPhone and iPad: App Store
- Android: Google Play
- Windows: Microsoft Store
- Mac and Linux: bluemail.me/download
You sign in with the email address you already have, so there is no new address to create. Once the app is installed, open it and add your account.
Signing into Your Email Account with BlueMail
To begin using BlueMail, you'll need to add your email account. In this guide, we'll walk you through adding a Gmail account, which utilizes OAuth for a secure sign-in process.
Adding a Gmail Account:
- Start by tapping Add Google Account.
- You have the option to select a pre-existing account from the account manager or to add a new Gmail account. For this example, we'll add a new account by tapping Another Google Account.
- Enter the credentials for the new account, including the username and password. Thanks to Gmail's use of OAuth, your account's security is enhanced. Discover more about OAuth in our detailed explanation.
- Finally, personalize your account by setting a display name and description. The display name is what email recipients will see, while the description helps you identify the account in BlueMail. If you like to organize your accounts visually, BlueMail allows you to change the account's color for easy identification.
